About Gurukitty Studios

Gurukitty Studios is a small studio featuring the works of Jayleen and Jeri Weaver, Twins from British Columbia. Gurukitty Studios was founded in 1997, we started with doing a comic of the original story that eventually will turn into the animated film "Conflagration". We also dabbled with other "Manga" styled comics, later dropping that style, opting for a more original looking comic style.

Jeri Weaver is a Comic Artist, working non stop on stories and comics that are posted online as well as put in Print.

Jayleen Weaver is an Animator, working on a feature length classically animated film called Conflagration.

When we are not working on our seperate projects we often do commissions, charity art work and other projects, for example "A World of Stories". Other works include animation for the music team "Bobs and Lolo" as well as other logo and book projects.

Occassionally, we have employed other artists to help get some of our projects done or to do collaborative works with. The most notable being Aun-Juli Riddle who coloured the majority of Daqueran Chapter 1 digitally before the comic series was changed to Traditional art, using watercolours.

Other examples are the voice actors that will be filling the voices of characters in Jayleens Production "Conflagration". Also, editors, script writers, artists, background designers and many other positions have all been filled by temporary Gurukitty Studio members. If you are interested in any of these kinds of positions you should visit the Gurukitty Main site for postings.

Conflagration is an important project for us as the characters have been with us all these many years. The characters and story and concept have changed a lot since 1997, however they still all managed to keep their own personalities and charm whether they were put in comics, or animation or lay dormant.

Comics that Gurukitty Studios have done in the past include the short lived "Fish Socks" which was a Shonen-Ai Manga comic that was short lived, but well loved. Well loved that is by the audience, however the comic itself grew tiresome for the artists and writers as it was full of cliches and the manga comic style had little appeal to us. We decided to take on the greater challenge of a more original comic style, and more mature subject matter than love sick pre-teens and moved onto Fantasy Action Adventure.

Thus, Daqueran is born, one of the most favorite comics produced from Gurukitty Studios, we hope it will be the series to put Gurukitty on the map of self published comics.

To all of you, from all of us at Gurukitty Studio - Thank you for supporting us!
